The Retail Associate will work out of our downtown shop in Ames 10-20 hours each week depending on the season. For the summer, we are specifically looking for someone who can work regular Saturday/Sundays and some hours during the week as needed. This position will be responsible for opening/closing the store 2-3 weekends a month.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers in selecting the perfect candles to suit their needs and preferences.
• Greet customers warmly and build rapport.
• Offer personalized recommendations based on customer preferences and interests.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring shelves are stocked and displays are visually appealing.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking new merchandise.
• Participate in store events and promotions.
• Pouring candles and other home fragrance products.
• Working the Pour Bar and helping customers pour their own one-of-a-kind scent.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

• Retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Enthusiasm for learning about new products and trends.
